Our Certifications as taken via OdeskWe have completed the following Tests at Odesk which should help give you some peace of mind that we DO KNOW what we are doing in the fields below. These tests below are pretty much basic ones for the fields they represent.

I also do Animations, Logos, Banners, FLASH, Video Editing and productions, Marketing across our various Portal sites as well as at other popular on line sites and services, and customer support/training for the web and many popular tasks any business may do well to know how to get done in house (once again can save you a FORTUNE by doing many tasks in house). MOST of the tests above base their questions upon what THEY consider 'Industry Standard programs'. Programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, etc.. I myself do NOT use such things! They are expensive programs for the rather limited functionality in my opinion. Still, They work basically the same as the systems I like to use (or if they did not, I would have NOT been able to pass the above tests of course). Layering in Photoshop for instance works pretty much the same as Layering works in Serif Draw Plus, and Corel Photoimpact X3 (which is what I use for imagery). Here are some of the Programs I have settled into every day use which are reasonably priced, Full Featured as they come, and relatively easy to learn to use by the average computer owner. GRAPHICS: - Serif Draw Plus X3 Very good and can be integrated with other fine Serif programs. You CAN also do some limited but nice FLASH logos/banners etc within this program.
- Corel Photo Impact X3 Used to be Ulead Photoimpact but Corel Corp bought them out pretty much. This one is meant for most any graphic design/photo touch ups and for the Web. Very powerful design program compatible with Adobe Photoshop as well. I have a Photoshop version but NEVER use it as I don't like it and feel it is pretty much useless clutter compared to that I DO USE and recommend!
FLASH ANIMATIONS PRESENTATIONS: - Swish 2.01 Older flash creation I paid some $19.95 for when I got it years ago. Still a champ and very powerful flexible time line editing for Flash Output
- Power Presenter 1.44 FREE powerful easy to use Flash Page creator or Flash Animations alike
- Ulead Gif Animator 5.05 USED to be included with Ulead PhotoImpact versions 12 on down. Works like a champ and is fairly easy to use for you graphic designers/artists out there who can create Cells for different Images and then animate them via this program for Gif 89a format animations and even Flash Outputs as you wish
VIDEO EDITING: - Serif Movie Plus X3 This one is easy to use for quick video editing and outputs full featured DVD's with Titling and much more. Low cost easy to use. This one works nicely on my Dell Laptop too!
- Pinnacle Studio 12 Very powerful video creations/editing with many various output options including direct to YouTube options. This one is a bit expensive (I paid over $2,000 by the time I acquired various Plugins, Capture Cards, etc) This one requires a high end machine with multiple hard drives, lots of RAM, a Dual Core processor (minimum) and at least 512 megs of Video Ram on the video card. You will also need at least 2 hard drives on your machine to use it properly...
Both of the above video editing softwares can take direct input from Digital cameras (and you can control the camera from within the program if you have the proper type camera of course). They both work very similarly to Adobe Premiere which I USED to use for a very long time (and I loved it) but then Adobe went and CHANGED how it worked and raised the price for it a great deal so I decided it was time to Dump Adobe. Believe me, What I use now is JUST as powerful as anything Adobe has for this solution and I am very satisfied with the above Video Editing systems I now employ WEB SITE DESIGN SYSTEMS: - Composer Nice FREE wysiwyg editor and I use it to basically get a start with a new site laying out the pages/tables/etc
- Macromedia Homesite 5.5 Not a wysiwyg editor but raw code editor and contains a decent Style Sheet editor for CSS style sheets.
In other words, I do a LOT of hand coding for web sites which is generally the ONLY WAY you can even design Dynamic type sites anyway. If you don't know what the coding in such sites means or does, you simply can not help the person who has a need to Change or Add something to the coding In order to even ATTEMPT to customize or design a CMS style portal site for anyone, you must know PHP, SQL, Ajax, HTML of course, DHTML, Java, CSS (style sheets), Perl, Graphic Designs, E Commerce applications, and SEO tasks at a bare minimum! You also will need a webmaster who KNOWS how web servers work, what systems MUST be in place on the server for your site to be hosted upon, and how to Tweak up the server if need be to suit your needs. This person is us! If you need to hire on an expert in each of these fields to get the job done - YOU WILL PAY A FORTUNE! --
And for setting up Test Sites (before actually putting them online for real) we have several Test Bed sites all setup to allow Viewing the site by the client (they would need to login of course) as a Post Production environment so we can get the site picture perfect before making it LIVE. |
